About Dr. Jeff Brodsky

Dr. Jeffrey Brodsky is founder and president of JOY International (www.joy.org), a ministry devoted to the rescue and restoration of children who are forced into the sex industry. “Dr. Jeff” founded JOY International in 1981 and has assisted in the establishment of many self-sufficient orphanages and children’s homes in 15 nations across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the South Pacific and Europe.

Jeff Brodsky’s ministry experience is wide and varied. It includes riding his bike solo from California to New York City in 1983 to raise funds and awareness of orphaned, abandoned and abused children, helping many couples raise funds for their own international adoption, leading 101-mile fundraising walks across Death Valley, performing as “Snuggles the Love Clown” around the world, and participating in evangelistic crusades around the world. He has spoken in 50 nations, including serving children at Mother Teresa’s home for orphans in Calcutta, India, and ministering to wounded children in Beslan, Russia after the 2004 terrorist attack.

Jeff Brodsky’s book Stepping into Adulthood has been translated into Spanish and Portuguese. A prolific writer and speaker, Jeff Brodsky holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity (D.Div.) degree from Promise Christian University Pasadena, Calif.

Jeff was raised in a Jewish home in Brooklyn, New York, and has followed Jesus (Yeshua) as a Messianic Jew since 1976. He is an honorbly discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jeff and Gail Brodsky have been married for 37 years and live in the foothills above Denver, Colorado, enjoying their six magnificent grandchildren.
