JOY Short-term mission trips

The purpose of JOY short-term missions teams is to bring the love of Jesus to individuals who have been freed from trafficking or live in high-trafficking risk communities, and to bless those who are working in this fight. We seek to be a light in dark places and bring JOY to individuals around the world!

UPCOMING TRIPS

    • Aug. 8th - 17th

    • $2,400 fundraising commitment.

    Join JOY International in Belize for a service trip supporting frontline anti-trafficking and trauma-care ministries. Our team will serve children and caregivers in children’s homes across Belize through discipleship, games, crafts, and encouragement, and we will also lead a Staff Care Training and Retreat to strengthen and pour into local teams through prayer, support, and practical care. This trip is a great fit for men and women with experience in small-group leadership, prayer ministry, counseling or coaching, therapy backgrounds, or simply a heart for games, crafts, and sports with kids.

    We are looking for applicants with experience in any of the following areas:

    • Children’s Ministry

    • Pastoral care

    • Prayer Ministry

    • Music/worship leading

    • Arts and crafts

    • Sports coaching

    • Home Improvement

    • Landscaping

    • Mental health counseling/therapy

    • Life Coaching

    • Yoga/body work/breathwork

    Applicants should be in good physical condition and able to handle a tropical environment with high heat.

    Fundraising commitment covers all airfare, lodging, food, transportation, and ministry supplies in Belize.

    • Ages 18+

    Join us on a life-changing trip to Nepal, where you will lead a kids camp for survivors of human trafficking and work to bless the staff and residents of the JOY Mukti Home. Trip participants will lead a camp for the 30+ girls ages 9–18 living at the JOY Mukti Home during a school holiday, creating a fun, faith-filled space where each girl is seen, valued, and encouraged. We will also complete basic home improvement projects around the property to help ensure the home remains a place of safety, joy, and care. Finally, we will take the staff of the JOY Mukti Home on a brief retreat out of Kathmandu for a short period of rest and renewal. Applicants should expect to lead and participate in kids' activities, home improvement projects, and ministering to staff through encouragement and prayer.
