$3,500 for the package including international travel expenses to Nepal

Both packages include:

  • 7-night hotel accommodations

  • Food

  • Local transportation

  • Ministry activity for the survivors of Mukti Home

  • Hosting a mini-retreat for the staff of Mukti Home

  • Justice Tour of Kathmandu

This is an opportunity to visit Nepal and the JOY International Mukti Home, meet its staff and residents, and see how your valuable contributions to JOY International are making an impact! We know your life will be forever changed when you see how your donations to JOY have changed the lives of young survivors in Nepal. We also want you to join us in loving and serving the staff of Mukti during the mini-retreat, where they will get some much-needed rest. This trip is both an opportunity to see and make an impact firsthand! Come join us on this once-in-a-lifetime trip!

  • Attendees will arrive in Nepal on October 1st and depart on October 8th. Depending on the departure location and chosen itinerary, it typically requires a full day of travel to arrive in Nepal, so attendees should plan to depart no later than September 30th and arrive home on October 9th.

Once attendance on the trip has been confirmed, JOY International will work with attendees and send recommended travel itineraries based on their departure city. JOY International staff will also be available to assist with any travel questions as they may arise.

  • The cost of the trip is $2,400 per person if you would like a single room (one person in a room), or $2,000 per person for a shared room. If you would like a shared room but are not traveling with another person, a solo traveler of the same sex will be assigned to room with you.

The cost of the trip includes all lodging, food, local transportation, and tours of Kathmandu. It also includes ministry money that will be applied to a special outing/activity for the survivor residents of the JOY International Mukti Home. It will also be applied to host a mini-retreat for the staff of the Mukti Home, which the Impact Trip attendees will join. In essence, the costs of the trip will cover all expenses while in Nepal, and will also go to bless the survivors and staff of the JOY International Mukti Home.

The cost does NOT cover international airfare to Nepal. Trip attendees are responsible for booking their own international airfare to Nepal, but JOY staff will send out guidelines and suggestions for booking travel and will be able to assist during the process if needed.

You may choose to pay a 20% deposit or the full trip amount upon registration. If you choose to pay the 20% deposit, the remaining balance for the trip may be paid by sending a check to JOY International, PO Box 571, Conifer, CO 80433 with your name and Nepal Impact Trip in the memo.

Total trip cost is due August 1st, 2024. $700 of the total trip cost is tax deductible and non-refundable. The remaining balance is refundable until September 1st, 2024. After September 1st, 2024, no refunds will be issued for trip withdrawal.

  • This trip is specifically for long-term impact partners of JOY International or those who are interested in the work of JOY for the purpose of possible partnership. Our goal for this trip is to give supporters an opportunity to see firsthand the impact they have made, while also giving them an opportunity to make a difference in person by blessing the survivors and staff of the JOY International Mukti Home with special activities to foster JOY and healing.

  • There are no vaccine requirements to travel to Nepal, but attendees are encouraged to visit the CDC’s travel recommendation for Nepal and to talk to their doctor about recommended vaccines before travel.

  • A JOY International staff member will be in contact with you after registration to share details such as travel recommendations, appropriate dress and cultural norms in Nepal, and itinerary. Zoom meetings may be held leading up to departure for attendees to meet each other, communicate details, and ask questions before trip departure. Recommended reading material will also be sent to you to help you better understand the history and culture of Nepal and what trafficking looks like there. JOY International staff will be available to you at every step of the preparation process to help ensure a wonderful experience!
